LCEducational - Training Programs
Adult Training and Educational Center

Program Title :
Greek language skills for foreign carers
Duration : 60 hours

The program is addressed to foreign carers. After the completion of the training, trainees should be competent to provide information, share experiences and express their intentions both orally and in writing, using the appropriate tone at the appropriate language environment and within the appropriate socio cultural context.

Program objectives:
After completion of training, trainees should be competent to:

- Gain the language skills required to express their intentions.
- Understand various issues (work-related, cultural, psychological, etc.)
- Be fluent in verbal communication in everyday activities - to speak in an acceptable manner.  
- Learn the appropriate language skills to express emotions, opinions and desires.
- Provide information, share experiences, both orally and in writing, using the appropriate tone at the appropriate language environment and within the appropriate socio cultural context.

The program includes:
. The use of new, reinforced social methods of teaching/training
. Managing members of a cultural group
. Communication, overcoming cultural-religious differences
. Structures of the Cypriot society and operational procedures
. Elements of Cypriot culture and history-geography
. Identification of the similarities and cultural characteristics of the members within a group
. Adequate training in the Greek language so as to be fluent in both verbal and written communication
. Build communication skills, as well as interpersonal and personal relationships
. Social contacts, professional life
. Proper communication techniques with the elderly and patients

The instructors are qualified scientists approved by  the Human Resource Development Authority.
Educational material will be provided to participants.
Upon successful completion of the program participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

The HPC LCEducational, is co-funded by the Ministry of Commerce .
